Medal Of Honor: Airborne

Year:2011
PC Game
Eng Rus
Developed by:EA Los Angeles
Publisher: Electronic Arts
3.61 Gb
Genre: Action (Shooter), 3D, 1st Person
Realease Name: Medal Of Honor: Airborne v 1.3 (2011/MULTI2/Repack)

Medal of Honor: Airborne was the first Medal of Honor game I really liked. I played Allied Assault, but thought that the gameplay was rather lame (That's what happens when you play Call of Duty before the game that inspired it.), I tried Rising Sun, but we all know about that one, European Assault was alright, but it had too many elements that didn't work too well, and Pacific Assault was an extremely awesome game that was perhaps the most badass WWII shooter game I've ever played (excluding Call of Duty: World at War) until that cursed airplane level.

Medal of Honor: Airborne is simply an awesome game, through and through. Airborne was the first current generation MoH, and its shows. The textures are all really nice and clean, the weapons are detailed and shiny in the right lighting (I like shiny) and the character models are some of the best I've ever seen.

Two things, just two things, stop this from being better than pre-Flyboys Medal of Honor Pacific Assault:
1. We've seen all this stuff before. I don't mean in movies (although the D-day level where you destroy the radio tower is completely reminiscent of the scene in Saving Private Ryan where they do the same thing, albeit with a smaller squad), but it sure takes inspiration from those too. I mean, barring the environments (except for the aforementioned D-Day level), all the weapons, all the sound effects, are classic World War II. That isn't to say that PA wasn't WWII, its just that there are probably 5 times as many European Theater WWII games than there are Pacific Theater games. Killing Nazis is good, but its kind of over done.
2. Recoil. This is what kills multiplayer for me. I know that guns have recoil in real life. But like this? I don't know how America won the war if their standard issue submachine guns had that much recoil when firing a single shot. Its not a problem in single player, where you regenerate health, but in Multiplayer, where that sniper who is undoubtedly really skilled at the game can one-shot you? That's unacceptable.

Like I said though, Medal of Honor: Airborne is still a pretty awesome game. Its only got 6 levels, but each of them will probably take anywhere from 45 minutes (the first or second level) to two hours (THE LAST LEVEL), so length is actually kind of acceptable, especially considering that modern day shooters are about that length. Speaking of levels, Airborne uses the open world design from European Assault, but to a much better effect. For one thing, you can actually choose where to spawn because at the beginning of each level, you jump out of an airplane. You can jump right near an objective or with the rest of your squad (the former is encouraged because enemies will kill you while you're stumbling), and you can even get awarded for landing in really hardcore places (like through the front of a German pillbox bunker in the D-Day level). You aren't confined to a linear path, although most levels have a select 'end' point that you have to do after you complete your outlined objectives. The game also has a great soundtrack, just like every other Medal of Honor. Its awesome to hear the main menu soundtrack playing if you recall the original Medal of Honor's main theme, too. Its also got a bit of Undergrounds in it, also.

However, despite the game being good and all, there are a few bugs that might pop up. Its only happened once, but there was a time when all the explosions and muzzle flash became this weird looking purple and green fuzz. I had to restart the game to make it go away, but I definitely could have kept playing.
And remember:
WHO DOES THE ARMY TRUST THE MOST? AIR-BORNE!
WHO DO THE LADIES LOVE THE MOST? AIR-BORNE!
WHO DO THE NAZIS FEAR THE MOST? AIR-BORNE!

During the Second World fascist invaders as they were afraid of domestic fire rockets Katyusha and American paratroopers. Brave guys jumped right on the head of an unsuspecting enemy. Under a hail of bullets and artillery shells had landed on the most dangerous sections of the front and always performed the task. In a new episode of the legendary series - Medal of Honor: Airborne - you have to get used to the image of Boyd Travers, a soldier's eighty-second Airborne Division, and look at the war from the bird's flight.

New battle raging in the territory occupied Europe. You will pass from Sicily to Germany, since each fight with a thrilling leap out from under the clouds. Place where the hero lands, you can choose, thereby determining the course of the battle. New graphics, tactics and a lot of exciting operations - all this awaits you in the Medal of Honor: Airborne, the game of heroes!

Game Features:
- Play by your rules! Each task can be done in different ways! Be smarter and luckier enemy, because of the success depends not only your life, but the whole operation!
- Count to three and pull the ring! Each mission begins with the landing. During the flight, you can not just look at the sides, but also to control a parachute!
- The best weapon of war! In your hands the most devastating firearm during the Second World War. All pistols, submachine guns and rifles have a real live performance!
- Shooting in the top ten! Gradually weapon skills improve. Practice, and eventually become a real sniper!
- The soldier played nastoschyaie actors! Drawings of the new generation will maximize realism. Soldiers like real people and the world around us - on the frames of the documentary. To believe is happening is very easy!
